An Exploration + Ecology RPG

Mappa Mundi -  is new TTRPG system that provides players a world to explore and the tools they need to do so. Taking on the role of Chroniclers — everyday people trained by the Mappa Mundi Institute — players set out to reconnect a world recovering from a century of ecological catastrophe.

Using a zero-combat system, Mappa Mundi asks players one simple question: How do you save a world without doing any harm?

With rules-light, narrative-first gameplay that prioritizes collaborative storytelling, gives creative control over to players to shape the world they want to see, and that recognizes the agency of non-human persons and the environment, Mappa Mundi is a love letter to worldbuilding.

Choose from four Character Licenses — Archivist, Diviner, Fixer, and Guardian — and forge your path through the ten regions of Evasu, each inspired by real-world cultures, histories, geographies, and ecosystems.

Explore lost and forgotten places. Encounter each and every type of life. Reconnect a world reeling from disaster. Tell stories and save the world!

Mappa Mundi comes in a sturdy fully-illustrated box that contains:

  • A 220-page hardback book
  • A rules-light, narrative-first system that puts players in the role of Chroniclers, specially trained explorers and researchers travelling to reconnect a world emerging from a century of climate catastrophe and isolation
  • Ten unique regions to travel through, each inspired by real-world geographies and cultures
  • Thirty Monsters and fifty Creatures to encounter, engage with, and learn about, each with individual behaviours and backgrounds

  • A 70-card Journey Deck, tarot-sized cards to bring the Wilds to life and present Monsters on the table
  • Access to a Huge Digital Package (1+ GB) with solo gameplay rules and examples

This is the most beautiful rpg boxed set I've ever owned, which makes it even more upsetting that every single corner of the box is bent-up.
