I'm playing solo, running 4 characters using the ShadowDark system. About 1/3 through it, and it's a pleasure to explore. Getting bits of lore, making most of limited resources and inventory, strategizing without guns a-blazing.
This was my first solo tabletop RPG, but it certainly won't be my last! As soon as I flipped through the book, I got excited, and when I started playing, I couldn't stop! I already have three episodes "in the can," and I can't wait to make more. Not only is this a bit of a puzzle game, it's also a "getting to know yourself" better kinda game, and that makes it (and each PT) invaluable :D
If any of those sound appealing, this book is for you. It's a wonderful extension to Thirsty Sword Lesbians, the must-have queer ttrpg. The most valuable part of the book are the new playbooks, which offer fun and useful new archetypes. To be honest, this is an expensive book and there doesn't seem to be a bundle discount, so I'd recommend coming back to this after you've played the original for a while. But if you want tons of setting and story ideas (some wild ones, including playing as a pack of hyenas!), then this book is for you. I really wasn't ready to spend the money on this, but what sold me was the Wasteland Roller Derby setting. As a derby lesbian, this is peak queer Rollerball-esque apocalypse for me. Like TSL, this is a beautifully bound and printed book, and you're buying the artwork and the queer vibes as much as, maybe more than, the game.
