In Stars are Right, the experience of performing a Tarot reading is used to tell the story of the characters. You draw and gain cards by taking risks and actions beyond the humdrum of your normal existence. 

Stars are Right is, first and foremost, a horror game. Through readings you may have revelations about your inner self, or cause harm to your body and mind. Delve too deep and who knows what secrets you may uncover lurking in the gloom behind the stars.

Flexible and able to be set in any era, Stars Are Right fits right in with any story focused on character and atmosphere. Not just by using the cards of the Tarot deck, but by using the reading of the cards as their own story telling mechanism.

Adding depth and danger to every obstacle. Every difficult task you perform gives you more cards to work with. These provide, not just a way of interpreting the cost and effect of overcoming and obstacle, but also a way of adding it all up. The inevitable culmination of your cards, the Reading.

While the system is simple, and runs intuitively. It has more than enough variety in each Star Sign, Planet, and Major Arcana, that no two stories or characters will be the same!
