A solo tactical combat RPG carved by RUNE

WYRD is a solo tabletop game with light roleplaying elements and rogue-like elements. You take on the role of an adventurer exploring a cursed city full of evil beings and dangerous encounters. You are drawn to this place in search of the power of the wyrd and what the center of the city holds. Wyrd is wielded through stones, each holding a new power for its owner to harness.

Throughout your time in WYRD, you will encounter new enemies, explore a variety of locations, uncover mysteries of the city, and grow in strength. See if you can reach the heart of this wretched city.

How It's Played

WYRD is Carved by RUNE, meaning it is based on the rules found in the RUNE TTRPG by Gila RPGs. WYRD expands and adapts those rules to create an exciting roguelike experience. It is entirely a standalone product, and does not require RUNE in order to play.

Players will work their way through the twisting labyrinth of the city by drawing cards from a deck. The combination of cards tells them what kind of encounters and dangers they encounter, one room after another. Each run through WYRD is unique, and while the adventurer will surely fall, their next journey into the city will be different than the last.

Combat uses the unique system from the RUNE TTRPG, featuring deadly tactical fights full of strategic decision making. Rolling a pool of dice, the player must decide how to spend those dice to best adapt to the enemies that are closing in on them. When is the best time to take a defensive posture, and when do you push for the kill?
